COVID-19 Update - Introduction of Online Classes

It has almost been a week since The Language House closed its doors to protect its staff, students and anyone with whom we come into contact with. Our main priority now is to follow government guidelines which state that we must remain indoors excluding necessary trips such as for medication.

As a result, we have been working on making our service fit into the new landscape we find ourselves in and would like to announce our new online group and private classes for English, French and Spanish! We have made it our priority to ensure that these classes will be just as fun, engaging and dynamic as you’ve come to expect from The Language House, but with the added extra of being streamed directly into your home. We will fill you in on all of the specifics and make sure all of you can access the classes easily with Language House staff being on-hand to guide you, just as if you were still coming into the school. We can’t wait to see you online!

For Private Classes, we have decided that Skype is the best option. Here is a little look at the platform, just in case you’re not already familiar with it:

We’ve had many students respond positively to their new Skype 1:1 lessons, and we are sure you’ll love them too!

For group classes, we’ve opted to use a platform called Zoom. Don’t worry, we don’t expect you to know how to use it (although it’s a bonus if you do!) so we have a great instructional video we can share with you to help with the set-up of this platform on your home PC or laptop. You can even use it with your smartphone, if that works better for you!

Finally, we’d like to thank you all for the fantastic support you’ve shown for us in this exceptionally challenging time. We wish you and your families all the best, and hope that we can return to face-to-face classes sooner rather than later, but until it’s safe to do so, we really think you’ll be able to benefit just as much from your online classes. And as always, we are here to help and support you in getting the most out of them in the meantime!

Thank you! Gracias! Merci!
